The Cheese Corner: Red Leicester

This bright orange cheese was first developed by farmers in the 17th century who wanted their cheese to stand out amongst other. Coloured with a vegetable dye annatto, this rich and creamy cheese gets better with age. Its flavors of burnt caramel and nuts complements English bitters perfectly. The sweetness of the cheese brings forward the orange marmalade undertones in the beer while the caramel makes the malt forward beer shine.
