The Cheese Corner: Island of Mull

The Cheese Corner: Island of Mull

This Scottish hard cow’s milk cheese is similar in taste to an aged cheddar. It has a chewy, creamy and crumbly texture that reveals a wonderfully nutty and buttery flavour. When paired with a Porter the cheese produces a fruitiness that complements the dark fruit flavours of the dark ale bringing forth a light sweetness. The roasted malt complements the nuttiness of the cheese and tames the tangy and yeasty undertones.
