Base Malts

This lighter coloured malts are generally used because of their high production of fermentable sugars.  They make up the bulk of grain used in all beers.

Pilsners Malts

Light in colour and flavour these malts are used in light German lagers.

Flavours profile- honey, white bread, light cracker, biscuit

Pale Malts

Light in colour and crisp in flavour these malts are used in all beer styles.

Flavour profile- honey, white bread, light cracker, biscuit

Vienna/Light Munich Malt

Darker and richer in flavour these malts are used in bocks, Oktoberfest, Vienna lagers and marzen.

Flavour profile- light caramel, toasted bread, brown sugar, molasses, nutty
